About Your Lifestyle:
Being a child of the 60's, awareness of the environment has always been a way of life. I have continued to make choices that are environmentally friendly and always try to show Mother Earth respect.

My formative years were spent in the arms of my loving parents who were musicians & artists. They raised me to understand the meaning of recycling everything we could. In fact, my Mother never threw anything out that could be used again. She was a product of the "Great Depression." Therefore, every little thing was to be used to the bitter end, even soap. She could make anything we needed out of what ever she had stashed or could find. The amazing thing was that it always looked great! She was know for her unique creations and shared her passion for recycling/recreating with me. She would always say, "No, no, no, don't throw that away, we can use it again." Little did I know then as to how important her acts were. I just assumed this was part of life.

In our millennium household we use cloth napkins, our own "to go" cups, zero Styrofoam, green shopping bags, energy star appliances, ceiling fans to increase air movement vs extended air conditioning use, natural non toxic window treatments. We refill our XLG cups (including lids & straws) with filtered water from home. We make our own ice, old clothes become rages/cleaning cloths, old blankets become puppy beds, our recycling bins are 3X's that of our neighbors, and "vintage" & "recycled" clothing is hanging in every closet. My computer is even a "refurbished" Mac, why not! "One man's trash is another man's treasure."

The artist that I represent, Lincoln Maynard, is exploring green methods to enhance his current body of work called "Rhythms of the Earth". All portions of the end result come from recycled products, even the paint. Lincoln has used this technique with his past works as well. However, "Rhythms of the Earth" are exclusive to this process. Lincoln recently sold four incredible works of art that were on display in the "ASID" home featured in the 2008 Las Vegas "Parade of Homes". His series "Rhythms of the Earth" has really caught the attention of not only of top shelf designers, but private collectors as well. You can view Lincoln's works on the website listed. This is why I am here. I want to share this incredibly talented artist with the world. His green contemporary designs are phenomenal. Fine art at it's best and an artist I am proud to represent.

Your specific interests in Green Design:
Green Design is important to our survival on this planet. I've only scratched the surface of where I am going. By being part of this movement, I can do my part to make our planet a better place.
The BEST green product you've purchased this year:
Energy Star Advantium Oven/Microwave. It cooks with halogen lights, saves energy, doesn't heat the house, and produces a fine meal at a fraction of the cost of a conventional oven. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to save all around and break away from using a micorwave all the time. They really are not good for your body or the O-Zone....
